When a supercell comes barreling through Maury County, it’ll hit that uneven terrain and start to spin, and that’s when you get those sudden, violent wind bursts that just peel shingles right off a roof like they’re nothing. It’s not just the straight-line winds either—those little valleys can channel a gust and double its speed in a heartbeat, catching the edge of your roof at just the wrong angle.

Our severe weather season really gets going in March and April, but we’ll see rogue storms pop up all the way through June. When those big, slow-moving cells stall over the county, they’ll drop hail that ranges from pea-sized up to golf balls, and that’s when the real damage happens.
