The worst part is our storm season isn’t a one-and-done deal—we get a second wave of these nasty wind events in the fall, right before the snow flies. So if you’ve got a roof that’s over ten years old, it’s already been through a dozen of these beatings, and the granules are probably worn down to the point where the matting is exposed. That’s when a moderate storm becomes a total roof replacement, and I’d rather you hear it from me now than find out when you’re holding a bucket in your living room.
