It knocks the granular surface right off your asphalt, and once that’s gone, the sun bakes the exposed fiberglass and it cracks like a dry riverbed. Combine that with the constant, relentless wind we get year-round—I mean, you can’t hang a flag out here without it looking like a tattered rag in a month—and your roof is taking a beating from both sides.
